“It reminds me of sitting on the porch in the summer.” This is what Mark, a computer store owner in Western Massachusetts, said about Weleda’s Birch Cellulite Oil. Mark discovered this skin care product as many of our male customers do:in his girlfriend’s bathroom cabinet.

Mark’s skin care routine consists of washing his face several time during the day, and occasionally applying a moisturizer with UV protection on his face and hands. What type of moisturizer? That seems to depend on what he can find the bathroom cabinet, or rather it seems to us, whatever his girlfriend is using. Here are some of his thoughts on Weleda’s Birch Cellulite Oil.

fragrance. “It smells like fresh limes. It reminds of summer, sitting on the porch with a margarita.” “The fragrance is pleasant upon application but the scent does not linger, which is important to me. I do not like the feeling of an after-shave.”

Birch Oil contains an “extract of organic birch leaves, known for its purifying and detoxifying effects” a as well as “apricot kernel oil, skin-friendly organic jojoba seed oil and vitamin-rich wheat germ oil.” (Weleda) It can be used to tone down cellulite, i.e., if you use the oil with Weleda’s Birch Body Scrub. This usage never even occurs to Mark, like many of our customers, he adapts the product to his particular needs. The Birch Oil is meant as a body oil but Mark enjoy using it on his face without any problems. He also associates the smell of the oil more with limes than with birches. Whatever the case Mark clearly enjoys the oil. It works for him. And clearly his girlfriend buys enough for two.
Thank you Mark, for your time and willingness to share your experiences. We much appreciate it.
